We influence the thinking and actions of people who shape and manage the built environment in a variety of ways. In addition to the practical projects we carry out, we also:
• respond to consultation papers issued by central Government and its agencies.
• issue position statements that capture our views on individual topics.
• take part in focused campaigns, harnessing the lobbying power of our Civic Society membership to change policies and attitudes.
Over the last 11 years, the Civic Trust has made 143 policy statements which represented (and continue to represent) the views of our members. This works out at about one a month. You can click here to see the latest responses that we have given to Government or if you prefer you can see a full response of each individual policy statement from 1996 - 2007, login to the members area here.
If you have any comments on our policy and campaigns please contact us. We produce a Policy e-update. If you wish to receive this update, please click here The Civic Trust regularly have over 100 civic societies work on our Government Consultation network and if you would like to join them please tell us here and we will respond to your enquiry at the earliest opportunity.
